A single twisted driftwood branch winds its way up a wall of deep preserved moss, framed in slim matte black. The branch is the drawing and the moss is the paper one continuous line through a field of green, the way a stream cuts through a forest floor. Nothing about the composition is repeated, because the branch decides where it goes.
The moss is preserved, not living. It is real moss that has been stabilised, so it keeps its colour and soft texture for years indoors with no water, no soil and no light. We build the surface in layers dense flat forest moss as the base, then bun moss and pale reindeer moss set in as raised accents so the panel has real depth and shifts as you move past it rather than reading as one flat green rectangle. The driftwood is cleaned, dried and finished by hand; its silver-grey and honey tones are the wood's own, not a stain.
There is nothing to maintain. No watering, no misting, no feeding, no light requirement, no fallen leaves. The panel hangs from a hidden cleat and sits flush against the wall.
The vertical format fits the walls most art cannot a hallway, the strip between two windows, the space beside a door, a stairwell. It also works in a living room, a bedroom, a home office that needs something alive on camera, and in windowless meeting rooms, clinic waiting areas and spa corridors where real plants will not survive. In hotels and restaurants it delivers a green wall in a fraction of the space, with no irrigation.
Made to order in our workshop and shipped worldwide in protective packaging. Custom heights and widths are available send us your wall measurements and we will build to them. Because every branch and every batch of moss is different, no two panels are ever the same.
Keep it indoors, out of direct sunlight and away from damp rooms such as bathrooms and steam areas, and do not water it. That is the whole care routine which is why it makes a safe housewarming, new home or office opening gift, even for people who cannot keep a plant alive.
