The bark line runs straight across the face, the grain does the work of the numbers, and the open space above and below lets the wall come through. It reads as sculpture first and tells the time second.
Olive wood is what makes this piece impossible to repeat. Its grain moves in tight, dark ribbons through warm honey and amber, and every slab carries a different pattern of knots, cracks and natural edge. We hand-cut each one, sand it through four grits and finish it with a natural hardwax oil that deepens the colour without adding gloss. The steel ring is powder-coated matte black, so the frame stays quiet and the wood stays the subject.
Inside is a high-torque silent sweep movement — no ticking, nothing to hear in a bedroom or a home office at night. It runs on a single AA battery, accessible from the back, and the clock hangs from a single hook.
